We bundled up the girls and headed out onto the bay. We weren't smart enough to bring a sled and after a couple minutes of walking, the girls decided they wanted to be carried. We made it out there and stuck our heads under the tarp and saw the crucifix, it's pretty neat to see. The guys working it brought out an underwater camera so the girls could see it on a tv, they liked that. We headed back in, again carrying the girls, but this time made a short-cut through the rocks and got back to the car where Ainslee started screaming her head off. We realized her poor hands were purple and probably tingly at this point. Apparently we need to get her better mittens! Luckily hot chocolate did the trick, and she was fine. It was fun to go out and see the cross, we had talked about going out there since we have moved up here, and we finally did it.
The walk didn't last long, next year we will bring a sled.
The beginning of our adventure, all smiles so far!
We made it!
