Cadence and Ainslee Happenings

Today we get home from church and while making lunch, the girls were playing around. Cadence stuffed a pom-pom under her dress and came up to us and said "I have a baby in my tummy". She then proceeded to say "My baby's coming", and out came the pom-pom. Oh yeah, it's true!

Then there's Ainslee girl who can't get enough of her spaghetti. Both girls had a bunch of snacks at church and when we got home we gave them banana and oranges thinking they wouldn't eat much for lunch. As soon as Brandon and I sat down with spaghetti, she went crazy, and we filled her bowl three times!

Cozy Coupe

A couple days ago, we were outside playing. Ainslee was in her cozy coupe just wheeling around the driveway. Cadence got off her Jeep and starting pushing Ainslee around. They were laughing and having fun together, it was adorable. Brandon and I truly love these moments!

John Ball Zoo

We were in Grand Rapids last weekend, and we took a trip to John Ball Zoo. The girls and I were there last year with Grandma and Papa, but for Brandon and Gari Lee it had been years, and it was Paige's first time! The girls had a great time together, as you can seen in the pictures!

Another Snake, and a Frog!

Who needs boys when you have our Glass Girls around! They are tough and fond of a snake they found in the grass last week. A few weeks ago a little snake was in our driveway, and the girls loved checking it out. Well, they found another, this time in grass clippings. Tough girl Ainslee wasn't afraid to go and pick it up, and show her big sister it's cool (even though it went pee all over Ainslee)! After they put the snake in the woods to "keep it safe", they found a frog and wouldn't you know the frog went pee all over Ainslee! She couldn't have cared less, but Mommy was a little eaked out, and it was straight to the tubby!!! As you can see in the pictures, the frog didn't fare as well as the snake, Ainslee didn't "keep it safe"!

Aww, nice froggy

Uh Oh, poor froggy

Cadence's Third Birthday

We celebrated Cadence's third birthday with a Mulan party. It was hard to find Mulan party supplies since the movie is 10 years old, but we made Chinese lanterns, printed out Mulan decorations, and good old ebay came to the rescue! We had a very nice party, but we can't believe we just celebrated her third birthday, it crazy!!

Fishing in Hessel

This is what I was doing when Emmy's "Crazy Days" ,which she explained in the previous post, happened. Jason and myself went up to Hessel to try a little salmon fishing. Our friend Tom goes to Hessel with his family every year for a ten-day trip. There are three generations of his family that still go every year, and have been going to the same place for over 35 years. They do pretty good fishing so they invited us up to give it a try. As you can see Jason and I did okay. Jason is holding a 14.1 lb Steelhead and I am holding a 13.5 lb King. The rest are a mix of Lakers and Kings.

Well, truth is these guys were in a couple other boats as well . Jason and myself only contributed a few of the small salmon, the other two boats contributed the rest. It wasn't about who caught the most or the biggest (I only say that now cause I didn't do either) but about having a good time, and that we did.

P.S.
We would like to thank Kathy for making Tom come back and get us at the boat launch and giving us a place to sleep so we didn't have to stay in my truck.

Crazy Days, Oh My!

I know it's been awhile since the last posting, and I'm sorry no pictures tonight, our computer is very slow and I do not have the patience to wait!! You'll understand after reading this!

It's been a rather comical couple days around the Glass household. It began when Brandon was gone fishing overnight Thursday. I being alone in the house with the girls had the house locked up like Fort Knox. Every door and window was locked except for one window in our bedroom. Friday morning I take the girls outside around 9am. The girls were playing, then Cadence sat down and got her pants all wet from the grass. She wanted to go inside and change, so I grab her, then Ainslee, and discover that Ainslee was stinky. So we head into the garage and I realized I locked ourselves out of the house, way to go Em! I grabbed the stroller out of the car, and was ready to head to the hatchery to see if they had a key around someplace. This all happening while I have Cadence crying because she wants new clothes, and Ainslee with a stinky diaper! It was then I remembered that our bedroom window was not locked. I proceed to grab a screwdriver and a step ladder to pry off the screen. While I'm doing this, I hear a horrible scream out of Cadence and I run to the driveway to see Ainslee collapsed up in the stroller. It apparently was not locked in place, and when she climbed in for fun, it closed up around her (she was fine, no harm done). So I get Ainslee, calmed down Cadence (because Cadence was more upset than Ainslee), and finally get the window open, the girls inside, clothes changed.... Later at lunch I get this crazy number calling my cell phone, four times in a row, and it appears to be an international number. I call Brandon, I hadn't heard from him since the night before and I wanted to make sure they were ok, which they were. That same number called two more times in the afternoon.
So I got the girls down for a nap, and a little bit after that, Cadence came out of her room and said she had to go potty. She will go by herself, and typically go back to her room after. About a 1/2 hour later I heard a strange noise from inside the house. I go and check and she's still in the bathroom, soaking wet. I asked her what she was doing, she had my face wash and said "I'm washing my face like Mommy". She had flooded the bathroom, water everywhere and clogged the toilet trying to clean it up!
Fast forward to Friday night, that same crazy number called 9 times in 2 hours and left a very strange voicemail, kinda creepy. Another strange voicemail was left again at 5 am on Saturday, but nothing since. I never answered the phone and won't if that number calls again.
Saturday, Grandma and Papa were up to visit (lucky for them it was after all the craziness was over). It had been a great day being with them, up until they left!. When they left, we said goodbye outside and the girls wanted to stay outside and play. Brandon was cleaning up the grill and I was sitting on the front steps and again, I hear a horrible scream from Cadence, this time a bee stung her just under her left eye. We felt so bad for the girl, you could tell it hurt, it was red and puffy. She was having a hard time calming down, so we turned on a cartoon, that was the ticket, she calmed down after a few minutes. Go figure how that works!! She made out like a bandit and got to watch a few shows before going to bed. I don't think she's having much of a reaction to the sting, so let's hope she doesn't wake up all swollen tomorrow. She's now in bed, Ainslee girl is sound asleep, and let's hope tomorrow is uneventful!
