Ainslee Talking, Cadence singing Mulan

Here's a video of Ainslee saying some of the words I mentioned in the last post. She says "Hi Mama, thank you, and Hi K'd (when I asked her to say hi daddy). It's a short sample of what she says, it's hard to video tape her, she's too interested in the camera!

And here's a video of Cadence singing from the Disney movie Mulan, the song is called "I'll Make a Man Out of You". If you can't understand what she is saying, she's singing about Chinese soldiers training to go fight the Huns. She is totally in love with this movie, typically on a weekend night we will have what we call picnic night. We get a pizza and let the girls watch a movie. 9 times out of 10 she will pick Mulan, both girls just stare at the tv when it's on, and we pretty much have to feed them their pizza just to get them to eat! A couple weeks ago she would sing along with this song, but this past weekend she sang it all on her own, and as you can see, acted it out too!

Ainslee Girl

I've been told Ainslee does not get enough face time,
so here's the latest on our cutie pie!
She's talking up a storm, this past weekend she started saying so many new words, and she's even put two words together. She's saying, "Hi Mama, KK (Cadence), bye bye, thank you". She also is using a lot more signs as well, she will sign saying "More Please". She truly is changing and growing up. Next week she moves up into the toddler room at school, no more infant room for us, (glad but sad)! She loves visiting in the toddler room already,
so hopefully it will not be a big adjustment.

Brandon's Turkey

Brandon got a turkey last week, it was his first turkey with his bow. If you'd like to hear how he took it down, just give him a call, this is a family blog and the details may be more PG13! Oh yeah, and Brandon wants me to add that Lighting McQueen pajamas are not approved camouflage for hunting! She was a little freaked out, but we finally got her to hold a feather and get a picture taken.

End of Planting Season/Our new TV

Yeah, today marks the end of planting season for Brandon. He has one more long run today in the U.P., then that should be it until next year. Our crazy schedules, and constant need for help getting the girls is now over! My mom and Jola came up on Tuesday to get the girls from school. They took them back to Grand Rapids yesterday, and we will pick them up on Sunday. Free time for Brandon and I, and the girls get time with our family, it's a win-win for all. Well maybe not for Grandma when she will probably be pulling her hair out by Sunday! Last night was strange without them here, we went out to dinner and didn't have to rush, came home and fell asleep by 9:30. Then I was wide awake at 5:30 this morning, couldn't sleep, so I got up and started laundry. I guess much doesn't change even though the girls aren't here!

We got a new tv last weekend, it's big and crazy, but it's been pretty fun to watch. The girls are mesmerized by it, you'll be able to see that in the pictures. Cadence asks to watch something on the "big" tv, then will pull over her little chairs in front of it, and I found her once up on the recliner just staring at the tv. Ainslee will watch for a couple minutes and usually lose interest, but we turned on a hockey game, and she plopped right down and was glued!

Fun Saturday at Home

We are just hanging out today at home, it's been too rainy and windy to go outside today, so we've had fun inside. In the pictures, Cadence is showing off her pumpkin and sunflower plants that she can't wait to plant outside in our garden. Grandma Cook and Cadence planted the seeds last weekend, and even we are surprised at how much they have grown. We also baked a chocolate cake for when Grandma Glass comes up today, as you can see Cadence enjoyed the batter more than making the cake (mom did too)! Ainslee girl has been kinda grumpy today, she has a runny nose so hopefully it's not a sign of things to come. She woke up from her nap before Cadence, and we were playing with her, next thing we knew she was in Cadence's room saying "Hi, Hi, Hi", and patting Cadence to wake her up. It totally cracked us up! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.
